Disability Awareness Sunday gives us the opportunity to reflect on disability and our faith. At General Synod – Te Hīnota Whānui in 2018, the three-Tikanga social justice network disability group moved that this Church work to increase our awareness of disability issues within and beyond our churches. It was launched by The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, at a major event on the 13th July at Lambeth Palace, to explore how people with disabilities can participate fully in the life of the church
